The visit is part of preparations for the 3rd review of Senegal&#8217;s program relating to the Extended Credit Mechanism (ECM) and the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) in line with the Agreement under the Resilience Facility and sustainability (FRD). <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Head of Mission, Edward GEMAYEL, was welcomed on his arrival by the Director General of Customs, Dr Mbaye NDAIYE, surrounded by his close collaborators. The two parties had a fruitful exchange covering several points. This concerns in particular the mobilization and collection of customs revenue but also and above all the reforms initiated by the DGD to make Senegalese Customs an efficient Administration.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Director General of Customs, during the work, presented to the IMF partners the main steering instruments of the DGD and the key reforms carried out with dexterity and pragmatism. Among the latter, there is complete dematerialization, the digitalization of procedures, the materialization of the Authorized Economic Operator Program (AEO), the strengthening of post-clearance control as well as the permanent framework for dialogue with users and inclusive management. This is in accordance with the new vision of the DGD, namely: the development of human capital, the development of innovation and results-based management.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the presentations and responses to questions asked by members of the delegation, the Head of the IMF delegation welcomed the results achieved by Senegalese Customs and promised to provide all his support to the DGD. Mr. Edward GEMAYEL also welcomed the excellent relations between Senegal and the IMF and the contribution of the General Directorate of Customs in strengthening this technical and financial cooperation.
